‘Secondary Cause of Death’ by Peter Gordon
The parts for this production have now been cast and rehearsals are now in full swing, with the cast having recorded their lines to help them for curtain up, which is not too far away!
The play will be performed on Thursday 14th October – Saturday 16th October. Tickets will be on sale at the launch night and as always, we ask you to sell as many tickets as possible. Bring your family and friends, especially if they came to see ‘Murdered to death,’ as ‘Secondary Cause of Death’ is the sequel!
Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for concessions and can be purchased via the ticket hotline, or via the website.
This Sunday (22nd August) Richard and a few others will be at the hall from 2.30 onwards sorting out the set for the play. It would be great if you could come down to help – many hands make light work!
Launch Night
On Sunday 5th September at 7.30pm we will be holding a launch night for all current and prospective members of the group. Here you will be given information outlining the season and will have the opportunity to raise any questions you may have. It will be an ideal opportunity for you to hand in your subs for the next season to our new treasurer, Peter Hawkins.
Subscription payments
Subscription payments will remain the same as last season:
-£50 for adults
-£30 for concessions (non wage earners, students, youth members)
These can be paid by standing order or in installments so please speak to the treasurer, Peter Hawkins to arrange this.
These subs must be paid by September 30th otherwise you will not be able to go on stage.
Pete will be at the launch night therefore this will be an ideal opportunity to ask him any questions or pay the full amount or an instalment of your subs.
YOUTH MEMBERS SUBSCRIPTIONS
We now have a waiting list for the youth section of the group, therefore if the current youth members do not commit to being a part of the group at the launch night, then their place will be offered to someone on the waiting list. To ensure your place in the group for next season either pay the full amount of subs at the launch night, or pay an instalment to demonstrate your commitment.
Off-stage roles
For ‘Secondary Cause of Death’ we have plenty of off-stage roles available, which include prompt, stage manager, help with building set and help with Front of House on the performance nights. Sarah, our production co-ordinator will be asking for volunteers for these roles at the launch night, so please sign up to support the production, as off-stage roles are often as important as the on-stage roles!
