*50th Anniversary show update*
Rehearsals have now started and are going well. Thanks to everyone in the group for their support and enthusiasm. However the show is still nameless, so if anybody has any suggestions for a name for the show please make them known to Cat or Martyn by Sunday.
Well done to all brave enough to audition for solos last Thursday and especially to all those successful!
Festival – Tuesday 16th March 2010
The Tamworth Drama festival is just one week away! Martyn, Nicola and Fay have been working hard to perfect ‘Swan Song’ and now they need support from the rest of the group on the performance night. They will be performing at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Tuesday 16th March. Tickets are just £6 for adults and £4 for concessions so email us to let us know if you are interested – moatplayers@googlemail.co.uk. This will be an exciting night of the group and will be a great evening out. The results of the festival will be announced on Saturday 20th March.
Many thanks to John and Paul for their hard work in preparing the set and generally tidying up the backstage area.
It would be great if as many people as possible go and support Martyn, Nicola and Fay!
Race night
Following the success of the quiz night, we will be holding a race night on April 17th as a social event and a fundraiser for the church, at St. Mary’s hall. The night will begin at 8pm – leaflets and ticket order forms will be coming your way via email and at rehearsals so watch this space!
Next season
If anybody has any suggestions for plays or one acts for next season please suggest these to the committee via email or at rehearsal.
Kitchen decoration
Many thanks to John, the vicar’s husband, who has decorated the kitchen in the hall and it now looks much cleaner and fresher.
